SOUTHEAST ALBERTA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTS INAUGURAL LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST IN BROOKS-NEWELL REGION
Brooks, AB — The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of the Brooks Newell Leadership Breakfast, a new signature event designed to bring together elected officials, municipal administrators, and community leaders from across the region for open dialogue and strategic insight.
Evolving from the Chamber’s long-standing Mayor’s Breakfast, which evolved into an event focused on elected leaders across the region, this refreshed format, specifically designed for the Brooks-Newell region, reflects a broader focus and a timely opportunity to engage following the recent municipal elections.
The event will feature a panel of elected representatives and Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs) from the City of Brooks, County of Newell, and Village of Rosemary.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Mayor of the City of Brooks and CAO, Doug Lagore
- Reeve of the County of Newell and CAO, Matt Fenske
- Mayor of the Village of Rosemary and CAO, Sharon Zacharias
Attendees will gain valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of municipal councils and administrations, hear about key priorities for the upcoming term, and learn how each municipality is managing transitions, onboarding new council members, and maintaining momentum on current initiatives.
“This event is about fostering regional collaboration and giving our business community direct access to the leaders shaping our future,” said Rob Goldade, Director on the local Chamber of Commerce Board for the Brooks-Newell region. “We’re excited to bring this format to Brooks and provide a platform for meaningful conversation and connection.”
"While Election Day marks a pivotal moment, civic engagement doesn’t end at the ballot box. We want our members to stay involved and informed, as we continue our work with both elected representatives and municipal administration to strengthen Southeast Alberta’s business climate and community wellbeing", stated Chamber President, Aaron Fleming.
The Brooks Newell Leadership Breakfast is open to both members of the Chamber and the general public, with details and registration available at www.SoutheastAlbertaChamber.ca.
The Chamber of Commerce was also pleased to kick off this new term with a Brooks-Newell Business Directory, highlighting its responsiveness to member requests and the feedback it heard at the recent municipal election forums. You can access the new Directory at www.Brooks-NewellDirectory.ca.
