Journeyman Service Plumber, Sewer and Septic

Sanatec Environmental, Medicine Hat’s elite sewer and septic company is looking to reinforce our services.  We are looking for a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber with a focus on sewer service/cleaning and repair to head up this new division in our growing company. 

The idea candidate will perform at a high level of customer service and professionalism. We are looking for a loyal and honest individual who are excited to grow their skills as well as strengthen their team and the overall company.

The candidate must have several years in the plumbing service industry, including drain cleaning experience. High pressure hydro-jetting and video camera inspection experience also beneficial. 

Duties and tasks required in this position:

• Sewer & Drain cleaning using power auger, jetter or other equipment as necessary
• Repairing plumbing system for residential and commercial customers
• Installing HWT, softeners, sewer and water lines, etc
• Diagnosing issues relating to sewer/septic and creating accurate estimates for work needed
• Advising customers on maintenance requirements and solutions to issues
• Collecting payments on site
• Flexibility in work schedule (able to be on call)
• Communicate with customers and coworkers
• The physical ability to safely lift 50 lbs. or more as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
• Train and supervise new team members acquired through company growth
• Obtain permits and create plans when required
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team

The candidate will be a person that can work with residential and business owners on their plumbing needs and provide superior service and craftsmanship.  You will need to have strong time management and organizational skills.  Sanatec Environmental needs a self-starter that would represent the company at the highest level of professionalism, exceed customer expectations and ensure happy and repeat customers.

Requirements for the position:

• Minimum 3 years sewer and drain cleaning experience
• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Plumber – 5 years
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean commercial 5-year drivers abstract.
• Insurable and bondable
• Clean criminal record check
• Excellent written communications and Oral communications skills
• Technical aptitude (PC, MS – Office, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to take emergency after hours calls (24 hour call)

• H2S Alive
• CSTS/PSTS
• Standard First Aid or Higher
• Confined Space
