The Mavericks call Athletic Park home, playing 46 league games beginning in June and concluding mid August. The Mavericks joined the WMBL in 2003 to fill the void of Medicine Hat baseball fans losing their Minor League Affiliate Medicine Hat Blue Jays. In 2008, Greg Morrison took on the exciting challenge of making baseball ''the hot ticket of the summer''. Greg has an extensive baseball background including seven selections to Canada's National Team and 12 seasons of professional minor league experience (LA Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, Independant Northern League). The Mavericks Baseball Club promotes all levels of baseball in Medicine Hat including their Hit n' Throw for Power Baseball Camp for ages 9 to 13. The Mavericks aim to provide fun and inspiring camps for young baseball players looking to develop their skills. The Mavericks believe that mentoring young athletes develop grass roots baseball but more importantly develops good citizens. It is the Mavericks' goal to offer fans the highest quality of baseball that families can enjoy as they cheer on their favourite players and team.
