The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce has recently announced a new partnership to provide local businesses an online platform built to certify export documents without the need for in-person visits.
“By partnering with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and offering TradeCert Canada services, we are making it easier for local businesses to access the documentation they need to reach customers beyond our borders,” said president Aaron Fleming. “This service helps reduce barriers for exporters and supports business growth in our region.”
In a release the local chamber says it has partnered with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to bring forward the TradeCert Canada online platform that can be accessed by local export businesses to speed up and secure the process of obtaining Certificates of Origin and other export documents certification services.
The chamber says growing international trade continues to impact southeast Alberta, and the new platform is proven to reduce barriers and support business and economic growth.
“We know that time and efficiency matter, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses,” said Fleming. “TradeCert Canada provides a modern, secure solution that allows companies to complete essential export documentation quickly and conveniently.”
By using the online platform, which has been developed to streamline and speed up the application process, businesses can apply for Certificates of Origin and other documents directly from their office or workspace.
Local businesses can register for TradeCert Canada by submitting a Letter of Waiver, proof of businesses registration as well as proof of origin documentation, and once approved, local users will receive access to the platform and begin submitting certification requests online.
More information about Certificates of Origin and TradeCert Canada services can be found on the chamber’s webpage.
