The Opportunity

We are looking for a Landscaping & Irrigation Lead to oversee daily field operations and ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to company standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will work alongside field crews, assist with training, and operate equipment while ensuring that landscaping and irrigation projects are completed on time.

What You’ll Do

• Perform landscaping and commercial irrigation installation tasks, ensuring work meets company and client standards.
• Operate skid steers, mini hoes, and other equipment to complete landscaping and irrigation projects
• Oversee project-specific landscaping and irrigation jobs, ensuring efficiency and quality
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of irrigation systems
• Work with fusing/welding pipe and irrigation components when required
• Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are met, and provide updates to management
• Lead and support field crews, ensuring daily tasks are completed effectively
• Train new employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Complete and submit daily safety reports, identifying hazards and enforcing compliance
• Haul and transport trailers, materials, and equipment as needed
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, reporting any necessary maintenance or repairs.
• Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations on all job sites
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper use of PPE and safety measures.

Performance Expectations & Accountabilities

The Landscaping & Irrigation Lead will be measured on:

• Project Execution & Work Quality – Ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and meet company and client standards
• Safety & Compliance – Following all safety protocols and submitting accurate daily safety reports
• Crew Leadership & Communication – Supporting field crews and maintaining clear communication with management
• Equipment & Trailer Operation – Proper use, maintenance, and safe transportation of equipment and materials
• Reliability & Initiative – Taking ownership of responsibilities and demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow

What We’re Looking For

• Two (2) or more years of experience in commercial landscaping, irrigation, or construction-related work preferred
• Experience with commercial irrigation system installation
• Experience or certification in pipe fusing/welding (preferred but not required)
• Valid Class 5, 3, or 1 driver’s license
• Must be able to haul a trailer safely and efficiently
• Experience operating skid steers, mini hoes, and other equipment (or willingness to learn)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and workplace hazard management
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company and take additional training or certifications as required such as Fusing Certification, etc.

Working Conditions

• Field-based role requiring travel to various project sites
• Hands-on position that includes labour-intensive tasks and equipment operation
• Exposure to varying weather conditions throughout the year
• Must be able to lift, carry, and handle 50+ lbs throughout shifts
• Monday to Friday schedule with occasional extended hours or weekend work based on project needs
