Description
To support well-being in farming and rural communities, it’s important that we work together to create spaces where people can connect and empower one another. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to our Rural Minds Matter Peer Support Training, offered in partnership with Sara Riel Inc. and Stigma-Free Mental Health Society.
What is Peer Support Training?
Peer Support Training teaches individuals how to support each other by sharing personal experiences and facilitating group discussions. It creates safe spaces for connection, helping community members improve their well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
This two-day online training is designed for rural residents, producers, and those who support farmers. Participants learn how to facilitate peer groups in their communities with confidence and share their personal experiences to help others with their well-being.
What you’ll gain:
• Strategies to provide peer support and facilitate groups
• Tools for fostering welcoming spaces and reducing stigma
• Knowledge to build sustainable wellness networks in your community that allow individuals to support each other long-term.
