1st Street: Medicine Hat Public Library

Multiple AIM events for all ages!

Open until 5pm for Art in Motion!

1) Stories for Young Artists @ 1:30pm: Children of all ages are invited to join us on the Library Lawn for stories, songs, and rhymes about creativity and art. Children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

2) Community Art Piece @ 2pm – 4pm: Stop by the Lower Level of the Medicine Hat Public Library to grab a button and paint your very own hexagon as part of our community watercolour art piece.

3) Bad Art Afternoon for Adults @ 3pm: Break out the glitter, pom-poms, and markers! Turn off the self-judgment and perfectionism that prevents us from enjoying our creativity by coming to make whatever your heart desires. Let your imagination go wild as we create bad art together! Online registration is required at https://bit.ly/register-for-a-program-MHPL.

4) Art Installation at MHPL (available on Saturday from 10am - 5pm): The Medicine Hat Public Library is thrilled to be displaying art by two local artists: James Craik, a lifelong artist currently working with oil paints, and Michele Winger, who discovered a surprising love for watercolour painting after her accounting career. Their paintings will be on display in the Lower Level throughout July.
