Executive Housekeeper

Job Overview
As an Executive Housekeeper your commitment to ensuring exceptionally clean and safe accommodations are provided to our guests will play a key role in our ability to accomplish our goals.
Essential Job Duties:

  • Ensure high levels of customer service, cleanliness and sanitation standards are adhered to in all areas including public, guest room, storage and laundry as per the Property Visitation Report
  • Prepare work schedules in accordance with labour standards, occupancy and productivity requirements
  • Uphold a current deep cleaning schedule
  • Promote and comply with established Occupational Health & Safety, company and brand standards and policies
  • Provide leadership, training and coaching to Housekeeping employees
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback and conduct reviews in accordance with company policies
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process for hiring of new associates
  • Maintain a positive, empowering and productive work environment
  • Monitor and enforce standards of appearance
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget; monitor costs and expenses including labour
  • Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories and cleaning supplies
  • Order, receive and monitor inventory levels of linen and housekeeping supplies
  • Coordinate and conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections
  • Record and monitor guest lost and found items
  • Supports company, brand and industry environmental initiatives and programs through the use of environmentally friendly, sustainable products and best practices
  • Perform housekeeping and other duties as required
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Able to perform cleaning tasks involving bending, crouching and reaching
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work with chemical cleaning products


  • Completion of high/secondary school
  • Proven leadership/supervisory experience is required, preferably in a hospitality setting
  • Previous experience with upholding cleanliness standards
  • CPR, WHIMIS and First Aid Training an asset
