** This is the rescheduled November UDI Meeting ** The goals of the committee are to work with and on behalf of the Chamber Board and its members to identify issues or barriers to growth for the development industry; to develop strategies through which to address and resolve identified issues or barriers; develop a means through which a process of ongoing advocacy is carried by utilizing the resources of the Chamber Board, membership and staff, as determined by the priorities set forth by the committee and Board of Directors; on behalf of our membership, board and staff, work with provincial and national Chambers, giving input and direction on policies which will positively affect Chamber members and the development industry and provide the opportunity for Chamber members within the industry to become involved in the Chamber's advocacy research and policy development process. Urban Development Industry members are classified as those who own and invest in land for the purpose of development and/or improvement of greenfield or brownfield areas or those who are associated consultants, actively involved in the design and development process such as project managers, architects, planners and surveyors.
